National Workshop




 IQAC PTM College of Education in collaboration with All India Association for Educational Research had successfully organised a two-day National Workshop on the 8th and 9th of February 2024. The workshop was conducted in the auditorium of PTM College of Education under the leadership of the organizer Dr. Renjini U. The seminars and exercises orchestrated in the workshop aimed at enlightening the young participants’ minds on the topic of Research Methodology.


The Workshop began on Thursday, 8th of February with the official inauguration of the session. On behalf of the Management Smt. Vijusha V. welcomed the dignitaries to the workshop and the Principal of the Institution, Dr. S. Premkumar, delivered the Presidential Address. The Guest of the day, Prof. Dr. V. Reghu (Vice President, AIAER), inaugurated the workshop by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom. His inaugural address was followed by the felicitations of other distinguished guests: Prof. Dr. Rajeswari K, Prof. Dr. Maya S, Dr. Isaac Paul, Dr. Salini S. A series of valuable and informative seminars by the consultants ensued the inaugural ceremony. The members of the panel discussed the Fundamentals of Research and Action Research both of which had proven to be challenging areas for the participants in the past.
 
The second day of the workshop witnessed a comprehensive coverage of the topic Development of Tools by Dr. Sameer Babu M (Associate Professor in Educational Administration). Shri. Kiranlal S.S welcomed the educator to the workshop. The seminar assessed the participants’ knowledge on the previous sessions and provided detailed discussion on the various available tools for research purposes. The students actively engaged in task-based activities, group discussions and were allowed to reflect and contribute ideas on the scope of research tools.
The two-day National Workshop successfully concluded with Smt. Lissy M Thomas thanking the consultant and other organizers for their contribution to the workshop. The participants were also awarded their certificates at the closure of the workshop, encouraging their participation. The workshop was victorious in harnessing the enthusiasm and experience of the participants in the field of Research Methodology.

Teaching Practice Phase 1 (Week 3 and 4)

Our third week of teaching practice began on 4th December 2023. The teachers and students were busy with the upcoming second term examination which started from 13th December. I would have to complete some more portions for examination.         There was a class election on 4th December 2023.We met the class leaders and couldn't forget to congratulate them. On 6th December, there is an SFI strike unfortunately our didn't affect any strike. A special assembly was conducted on 7th December 2023 for oath section for the elected representatives. Today's children are the citizen of tomorrow. So elections are necessary in every schools. It was truly democracy. I could finish my exam portion on 8th December and there would only a few days for revision.              We have no exam duties for following exam days.
