Conscientization Programme
As part of the B Ed curriculum, all students are expected to conduct a conscientization class during their teaching practice. Conscientization programmes create awareness within the students on socially relevant topics. The topic that I selected was something that I felt is relevant to the age group of my students. My topic was "An Awareness on junk foods in Secondary school students of Govt H.S Neyyattinkara. Raising awareness about the dangers of junk food among secondary school students is crucial in today’s fast-paced world, where unhealthy snacks and fast food are easily accessible. Junk food, often high in sugars, fats, and salt, can lead to long-term health problems like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Educating students about the importance of balanced diets and encouraging healthier choices empowers them to make informed decisions, fostering a generation that values their well-being and understands the consequences of poor eating habits.
We have also made a conscientization report on this.
